A Further Look on Independent Films: A Realistic Depiction of Society

Films have been one of our main source of entertainment throughout the years. It has evolved in many formulae, genres and story plotting which leads to having "indie" in the industry. This work explains how today's audiences perceived having the independent cinema as a coming of age evolution in the film history. This study is based on Stuart Hall's Reception Study theory and uses a non probablility purposive sampling as method in gathering data.
