A glance at Armenia's Agribusiness

Agriculture has strategical importance in Armenia. The role of agribusiness and agri-processing industry cannot be overemphasized in current Armenian reality. Historically, agri-processing industry was one of the biggest contributor to the agricultural GDP and to the country as well. The respective sector has always provided huge amount of working places by assuring high level of employment in rural areas of the country. Armenian processed food and beverages had their unique place and role in Soviet market. Even today they still have the same fame and place in CIS and European markets. The book is providing a fast look at Armenian's current stage of agribusness with its strong and weak sides.
