A History of Academic Book-Selling in Kenya

This book looks at the history of bookselling in Kenya, specifically focusing on the role of book aid for tertiary level book markets.The ELBS book scheme, a British funded book aid, is critically reviewed and its impact on the publishing industry in Kenya accessed. The book further explores the reality of the gap that exists in the production and availability of academic publications in Kenya after failure of the scheme.
