A History of Western Education in Malumfashi Town, 1929-2007

This work provides a contribution to the history of Malumfashi town with a particular focus on Western education and additional literature on the history of education not only in Katsina State but Nigeria as a whole. Education is the process of facilitating learning or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits, it includes storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, and direct research. Education can take place in formal or informal settings for the development and empowerment of every society. A historical methodology was employed as the work used a variety of sources, written and oral, which mandate the selection, collection, interpretation, presentation and evaluation of data as they relate to the history of Western education in Malumfashi town.

Shamsuddeen Bawale est né en 1989 dans le gouvernement local de Malumfashi, dans l'État de Katsina. Il a étudié à l'université Bayero de Kano, où il a obtenu une licence et une maîtrise d'histoire en 2015 et 2021 respectivement. Il est actuellement chargé de cours au département d'histoire et d'études internationales de l'université fédérale de Gashua, dans l'État de Yobe, au Nigeria.
