A Jamaican Perspective of The Role of Renewable Energy

This study examines the views and opinions on the adoption of renewable energy in Jamaica, particularly in rural regions and among businesses, using mixed research methods. The study focuses on Jamaica's energy challenges, such as high electricity costs, reliance on imported fossil fuels, insufficient energy infrastructure, and environmental issues. The study highlights challenges to renewable energy implementation, such as financial barriers, inadequate funding options, low public awareness and education, insufficient government backing and incentives, and technical difficulties.

I am 43 years old and I'm an Industrial Engineer. My first love has always been engineering, so I set out to achieve the highest level possible in the field. I have over 20 years of academic and technician experiences in the field of Industrial Engineering with particular skills in Mechanical Engineering. I'm also a facilitator in higher education.
