A MANUAL OF BOVINE IVF AND THE JOURNEY OF EMBRYO TRANSFER TECHNOLOGY

In the current century, advances in both technological and biological sciences have greatly accelerated. Especially in the field of reproductive biotechnology, important developments have taken place in the improvement of livestock breeding and thus development of animal production. For this purpose, studies on in vitro production of bovine embryos, freezing and transfer of produced embryos have been used frequently. With in vitro embryo production, transfer and freezing, it is possible to develop cattle breeding, which is an important source of income for the country's economy, and to raise healthy generations, and to protect domestic animal breeds that are in danger of extinction.

Asiye Izem Sandal received Ph.D. degree in reproduction and artificial insemination from Istanbul University in 2012. She works as research assistant at Istanbul University-Cerrahpäa, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Reproduction and Artificial Insemination since 2010.
