A Master Planned Fareej Community

This book represents an urban project work that was conducted within a site in the UAE. It introduces the concept of Central Place Theory along with its concepts of accessibility, proximity and functional mix. The book focuses on the interrelationship of people, transport and amenities as the basis for the micro-structure of the city. The project aimed to develop a framework for a community revitalization plan to maintain the traditional concepts of Emirati housing and neighborhood.

Inshirah Shublaq holds a master's degree in Urban Planning from the American University of Sharjah, while she holds a bachelor in Architectural Engineering. Inshirah worked on several urban planning projects within the UAE with different developers & governments. Her concerns are focused on traditional Emirati housing & digital architecture.
