The monograph presents the results of research on the substantiation of physical activity and health of student youth in the aspect of their mastering the basic professional program. A methodology based on a systematic approach to the comprehensive assessment of student youth physical activity is outlined. The motor component of physical activity is based on the use of increased physical loads, which ensures a quick increase in the functional reserves of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, a considerable increase in physical efficiency and fitness, which promotes the achievement of the proper level of professional readiness. The conceptual and methodological approaches to the organization of physical activity and health preservation in the Regional Center for Health Promotion of Students, Faculty and Staff of the University are outlined. Physical activity of students of special medical department is considered on the model of the leading pathology - respiratory diseases.
