A Study Of Corporate Governance In Liberalized Economy

The present study is expected to serve as a pointer to the corporate governance practices among the listed Indian companies in particular and Indian corporate sector in general. This study throws some light on the present corporate governance practice in India and also suggests for its improvement as a road map for the Indian corporate houses for attaining international standards of governance. From these standpoints, the research work has its own importance and relevance.The author further is of the opinion that in a dynamic business environment, the corporate governance system needs to continually evolve in accordance with the rapidly changing economic and industrial environment of the country in the new millennium.
