A Study on the Cooperatives in Malaysia

This book investigates cooperatives from the Malaysian perspectives. More specifically, the study reported in the book attempted to examine the organizational characteristics of cooperatives, identify their problems, determine their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as well as evaluate the effectiveness of assistant programs provided to the cooperatives. The result of the study shows that the cooperatives in Malaysia faced not only various problems and issues but also the assistant programs provided to them appear to be effective.

Dr. Mohd Khairuddin Hashim is a Professor at the School of Business Management, College of Business, Universiti Utara Malaysia. He has conducted numerous studies and has also written and edited 18 books on small and medium-sized enterprises, strategic management and cooperatives.
