A triptych of photography, film and literature

When Robert Frank is asked about the significance of his photography, he replies, "Just look at the pictures."1 The universal language of images is intended to serve as a means of communication throughout the world and requires no commentary from the author, as images offer many sophisticated interpretations and will continue to spark interesting discussions and new insights in the future. 'The Americans' is an ambivalent piece of photographic history, as it shows the dark side of American life and demystifies the 'American way of life.'
