A wave of energy

The central idea of this work is to analyze the role of actors and social processes that trigger the policy in the promotion of renewable energies. The challenges of the energy sector, which is measured with climate change, the increase in the energy mix and the improvement of equitable access to resources, are increasingly characterized by the introduction of new systems and technologies. The range of highly innovative technologies has opened an important exploration on the issue relating to the management of the transition to a new technological regime in the energy sector. The book offers detailed notes on energy systems from waves that are sure to have a good future in the European and global energy landscape and permit to several targets to deepen their own sector of interest: students to better understand the interconnections of socio-political, economic and environmental dimensions where such innovations are inserted, and energy experts at different professional levels to promote a communication form which reduce technical and not barriers for realizing a productive participation and social acceptance of renewable energy technologies.

Lucia Groe is a PhD in Science, Technology and Society at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the University of Calabria. Her research interests relate to the prevailing issues regarding environmental sustainability and in addition on tourism development models. She is the author of publications in national and international reviews.
