A Web Information System of the Colegio de Sta. Monica de Angat

Management of student information has become a growing concern of schools such that administrators have embraced the challenge of web technology to streamline tasks throughout the entire school. Efforts are put forth to migrate from a non-web browser-accessed system to a web-based system to meet the unique needs of a school and improve communication to client. In this book, the development stages of a web information system are presented with design models and features applied in various tools related to systems analysis and design, relational database management system, and content management system. The developer targeted a rural high school to demonstrate a dynamic system offering leading-edge features. This book, therefore, shows the existing and developed system, and user''s acceptability of the web information system of the Colegio de Sta. Monica de Angat in Bulacan, Philippines. The enhancements focused on the management of student records relative to the needs of internal and external users. This book is a timely guide for institutions that undertake a conscious effort to top off their internal system operations and delivery of services to clients through web technology.
