Abacwezi and Embandwa
Details
The title Abacwezi and Embandwa dramatizes the Cwezi dynasty from which a traditional religion sprang. From Bunyoro Kitara, they migrated to the far west of Uganda but, some remained in Bunyoro by absorption.Their wonders inspired the people they left behind to formulate a cult of them. These people emulated them to the level of gods and organized a devotion in their worship they started expecting favours there from. The plants which the Cwezi came with, were used to treat people and are demystified today by the scientists to have curative values. This work is written for all classes: spiritualists, teachers of traditional religions, artists, musicians poets and researchers in medicine. And so, the world over new religions are born. Some die away but others still prevail. Man seems to delight in his own creative work. The religion he has formed which seems to suit best his culture and soul, this one he has kept; and that of the stranger, whether enforced on him or not, that also he has accepted but never to drop the old.He is convinced that this is his own cherished culture to lead him to his creator; for, heaven''s light forever shines; earth''s shadows fly!
