ABC METHOD IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

The main objective of the ABC program is the education of deaf students in an inclusive school, where they have the opportunity to interact with both hearing and deaf peers and that takes into account their preferred communication system, the rehabilitation of hearing, oral and written language and the need for specialized intervention to achieve maximum curricular, cognitive, emotional and social development. In the case of those deaf students who have an additional diagnosis of mental disability, the schooling modality in the center is open classroom. Throughout the following book both the necessary tools and the objectives and impact that this program has, not only on the students -and their lives- but also on their families.
