If an organization is to successfully meet the challenges of an unknown future it must aggressively explore its core operational values. This book provides a look at how a process for doing just that was developed and implemented with one of the largest organization known before its breakup - termed Divestiture. It also provides a retrospective look to the critical period with in the decade of the 80's. This allows us the advantage of evaluating how successful the attempt at corporate culture change provide to be. It is also the author's hope that this snapshot of that experience may in some way be helpful to other organizations facing paradigmatic shifts. The times and challenges may be different however the research suggests that the underlying principles of utilizing values analysis as the foundation for effective change continues to be a valid approach.
Autorentext
Dr. Hutchinson, a graduate of Morehouse College,, has a Masters Degree in Counseling, and a Doctorate in Education from Virginia Tech. Dr. Hutchinson has worked for many years with a wide range of organizations in the United States. In 1993, he founded QCI Behavioral Health, a group of Maryland-licensed mental health clinics.
