Rabbi Abraham ben Meir ibn Ezra (Hebrew: or " , also known as Abenezra) was born in Tudela, Islamic Spain (1089), and died c. 1164 (apparently in London;some have the dates as 1092 or 1093 1167 ) He was one of the most distinguished Jewish men of letters and writers of the Middle Ages. Ibn Ezra excelled in philosophy, astronomy, astrology, poetry, linguistics, and exegesis; he was called The Wise, The Great and The Admirable Doctor.
