The book is talking about the academic performance of readmitted girls in secondary schools of Zambia with the 1997 re-entry policy. It has been observed that girls who go back to school find challenges in academic performance because the dual role of motherhood and academics that they have to perform, how they manage time at school and at home with the child.it was observed that the dual role affected the academic performance as the readmitted girl's mind is mostly divided, thus, making their performance to go down.
