Achieving Information Integrity in Databases for Open Systems

Given the technological shift, information systems have become open. They are being exposed to the uncertainties in business environment leading to information captured with loss of integrity. In view of this the research investigation identifies detailed analytical aspects for study during the course of the book. These aspects are requirement to model a system as a potential source of information, identification of dynamic decision situations ,identification of an information model, accounting for acquisition and utilization cycles, uncertainties in data management leading to loss of Information Integrity, systems approach to error reduction, requirements to view information as a bundle of interrelated attributes, cost benefit analysis of achieving optimal Information Integrity, and a method of analytically determining information value
