The book highlights toxicological aspects of a known potent carcinogen acrylamide monomer which is widely used in various industries and is also formed in starchy food cooked at high temperatures. Spleen being an important organ has been discussed in detail with all hematological aspects affected by acrylamide. Acrylamide has also been known to cause mutations in microorganisms which has also been discussed in the book.
