Details

This work aims to present the clinical and epidemiological aspects of human adenovirus (hADV) as a viral agent commonly associated with upper and lower respiratory tract infections, especially in children under five years of age. hADV are classified into seven species (A-G) and divided into 54 types. The hexon protein is primarily responsible for the inter- and intragroup antigenic variation of this virus. A work of medical and epidemiological interest that raises questions about the importance of adenoviruses in pediatrics.
