Adiam Dymott (b. 5 May 1982 in Uppsala, Sweden) is a Swedish rock singer. Dymott's first album, Adiam Dymott, debuted on March 18, 2009 with the singles "Miss You" and "Pizza". The self-titled album was released on Swedish indie label Razzia Records. Dymott's parents came from the Eritrean capitol Asmara, but met in Italy. The couple moved to Uppsala, Sweden where Adiam was born in 1982. According to Dymott, her mother named her "Adiam", the name of an African queen. Dymott started buying records first from the hip hop-section with favorites Notorious B.I.G. and The Wu-Tang Clan. At the same time, she describes herself as having been an "MTV child," listening to Nirvana and Garbage.
