Adoption of Drip Irrigation System and Its Effect on Farming

This book is an introduction deals with the statement of problem, objectives, scope and importance of the drip irrigation system. Reviews present a brief account of benefits and limitations of drip irrigation system which have carried out by various research workers have been discussed in detail. Theoretical orientation and abbreviations used in study were detail explained. Material and methods gives the details about measurement of various variables and statistical tools and techniques were used in study. Briefly drip irrigation system is an important method of irrigation which is becoming increasingly popular in area with water scarcity and salt problems. In order to use such a precious natural resource economically, drip irrigation would be a possible solution which minimizes the losses of water and fertilizer as well as increase the yield of crop and quality of product. H. L. Verma completed his Ph D. (Ext.Edu) in 2016 from College of Agriculture (SKRAU) Bikaner. He had published many research papers and popular articles in various scientific Journals and magazines, respectively. Presently he is working as Subject Matter Specialist (Agri.Ext.) at KVK-Leh (Ladakh) of SKUAST-Kashmir, Srinagar(J&K),India, since,2017.
