Advancements in Composite Materials

Over recent decades many new composites have been developed, some with very valuable properties. By carefully choosing the reinforcement, the matrix, and the manufacturing process that brings them together, engineers can tailor the properties to meet specific requirements. This collection reflects the current worldwide state of knowledge concerning the latest scientific concepts and technological developments in the characterization, testing, mechanics, modeling, manufacturing and applications of various classes of composite materials and structures. It is also intended to promote the sharing of ideas and emerging technologies among academia, research institutions and the relevant industries.

Zohair Sarajan is a faculty member in Materials Department of Islamic Azad University-Yazd Branch in Iran. Besides the academic and research activities, his works include books in English and Persian, papers, research projects, industrial consultancy, manufacturing some of laboratory equipment.
