ADVANCES IN PLANT SCIENCE

Human beings depend upon plants since time immemorial for food, medicine, shelter and other livelihood. It is method of treating health related issues, based on the use of plants or plant extracts that may be taken orally or applied to the skin. Since, ancient times, collection of information about the plants potential is the prime concern to cure various human diseases and to assist with bodily function. Every breath of oxygen we take and mouthful we eat depends upon plants. Every plant is virtually an open treasure of nature as it is a huge, renewable natural resource of productive, protective, aesthetic, ameliorative, scientific and industrial value. They play a key role in economy and ecology of any nation and support the livelihood of millions of people. The world today looks to plant science with great hope for the solutions to many problems of health and environment.
