Details

This book reported the literature survey of the chemistry of antipyrine. In this context, all the synthetic methods used for the preparation of antipyrine that is one of the most important organic compounds, were reported. In addition, the synthetic methods used for the preparation of 4-aminoantipyrine were investigated. Compounds incorporated antipyrine moiety exhibited high biological activities, so it was used in drug design. The organic reactions of antipyrine from the literature survey were reported in this book. Also, the biological importance were highlighted. Antipyrine was applied in the field of inorganic chemistry, in which it acts as a ligand to prepare several complexes with many metals. The coordination chemistry of antipyrine will be reviewed in further studies. The bibliography includes mainly 229 references.
