Aero-elastic Analysis of Plate Wings Using the Finite Element Method

This book guides students specialised in Aero-elasticity and/or Finite Element Analysis. It represents a fundamental Aero-elastic and Finite Element Analysis of both metallic and Composite plate wings. First, the theory behind the wing aero-elasticity and finite element modeling is introduced. Then, a numerical code is developed and examined. Finally, the model is validated and used to solve common aero-elastic problems.

He received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Cairo University, in 2014 and 2010, respectively, both with a grade of distinction. Currently, Mahran is a research/teaching assistant in the same department. He interested in Aircraft Structural Analysis and Design, Aero-elasticity, Finite Element Modeling, and Composite materials.
