African Symbolism
Details
This monograph presents an organisational architectural model that drives the attainment of strategy-structure fit. The perspective is that of strategy-structure and performance as an innovative outcome of analytical work on the challenges emanating from the best alternatives to align strategy, structure and significant other performance drivers to ensure maximum performance. The point of departure is in the innovative fusion of the African Kitchen Hut Strategy and Structure Model; strategy, structure and significant other performance drivers (SOPD) as determinants of performance, showing not only the extent to which the Afrocentric notion better informs transformative theory and practice of effective management, but to a large degree, pan Africanism and the use of indigenous knowledge systems in strategic management. The problems are readily adjusted to the African reality, illustrating African symbolism and the inherent lessons in strategic management, as opposed to many that exclusively look at challenges from a neoliberal and classical Eurocentric angle.
