African yam bean seed supplemented with multi-enzyme as broiler feed

African yam bean is one of the under-utilized/non-convectional legumes that found in Africa. Under-utilized due to ignore by policy maker and lack of nutritive values. Seeds and tubers are the two major products obtained from African yam bean. Tuber contained 19% crude protein. Seed contained crude protein that ranged between 21-29%. locally available and cheaper to procure compare to soybean. Belong to plant protein. The seed can be processed and supplemented with enzyme and incorporate into the broiler feed to replace soybean meal, the broiler that fed on the diet performed excellently due to improvement on the performance and carcass characteristics as well as blood indices. Consumers who eat from products of broiler birds that fed on this diet will not have health challenges because of low/absent of fat and cholesterol in the products. Using processed African yam bean seed meal supplemented with enzyme in broiler feeding is better and safe live than fish meal that pose health challenges to the human beings.
