Aggressive Periodontitis

Aggressive periodontitis is periodontal destruction that is become clinically significant around adolescence or early adult hood. The disease has been classified as localized and generalized periodontitis. Microorganisms and immune defects have been implicated in the pathogenesis of the disease. We try in this book to investigate some immunological, microbial and biochemical changes in serum and saliva of selected patients.

Dr. Alaa Altaei graduated from Dental College, in 2003 and obtained MSc degree in 2010. She is assistant lecturere in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Mahmoud Taha is a Professor and Head Department of Dental Basic Science.He obtained PhD degree from Glasgow University in 1990. He is interested in Oral Microbiology.
