Aging as a Medical and Social Problem:
Details
The versatility of the nature of aging dictates the need to focus not only on the genetic and epigenetic aspects of studying the problem, but also take into account the state of a particular individual, theirs social and demographic components, which determine the pace and progression of this process. The monograph presents its own results of socio-demographic research, which demonstrates the change in knowledge and ideas about the aging process and attitudes towards it. It is noteworthy that respondents in the age range of 18-49 years consciously perceive aging as a pathophysiological process that can be delayed due to lifestyle modification, which opens up new prospects in the search for individual prophylactic agents in modern medicine, which should not only improve health, but also to reduce morbidity and mortality from age-related diseases in general.
