Agribusiness accounting

"The sooner organizations begin to see the environment as their main challenge and as a competitive opportunity, the greater the chance that they will survive" (TACHIWAZA, 2002, p.24). In view of this, it is easy to see that concern for the environment is growing more and more within organizations. However, as a rule, companies are still interested in maximizing results; however, attempts to reconcile this objective with maintaining environmental quality is progress, albeit on a small scale (RIBEIRO, 2006).
