The book Alice in Wonderland has enchanted readers of all ages for over two centuries. It is undoubtedly a classic of world literature, transcending the simple classification of "children's literature." But what has made this text endure for so many years and achieve such success among its readers? Is there something more behind the nonsense and strange and captivating characters? It was in search of these answers that this work ventured down the White Rabbit's hole and studied Lewis Carroll's text in greater depth, showing that this author did what was unthinkable at the time: he criticized Victorianism and Queen Victoria.
