My book tells my story, Valens, a 7-year-old boy who survived the genocide against the Tutsis in Rwanda in 1994. Together with his one-year-old brother, they managed to escape the massacres. This book describes not only how Valens survived, but also how he traveled many miles while taking care of his little brother.

Kabarari Valens is an author, film and television director, and multimedia trainer. He holds degrees in film and television directing and screenwriting. He survived the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Today he lives with his family in France.
