All in one of SCADA

This book presents a well detailed analysis of an automated Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, SCADA; it's monitoring and remote control of circuit breakers with a develop optimized data collecting and processing scheme for a distribution transmission system in other to improve the power system operations. It proffers solutions for data generating using a substation model, improved data collecting from modeled apparatus and finally application of data processing and consistency checking algorithms. The SCADA system which are of two main parts: The Hardware and the Software. The Hardware which comprises of the circuit breaker monitoring (CBM), the personal Computer (PC), and the GPs Clock receiver. The Software includes the modeling, programming and consistency checking algorithms. Furthermore, it also covers Load tap changer control of a transformer and its monitoring using programmable logic, math functions and IEC 61850 communications over fiber-optic Ethernet. Result of processing and related reports are displayed for those monitoring the substation operations in remote locations and even on remote devices in real time without redundancy.
