Katie Ward was born in 2005. From a very young age, she delighted in creating small stories, and as soon as she learned to write, she began capturing them on paper. In school, she would scribble short stories in the margins of her folders, and at home, she would write on loose sheets and staple them together to form her own little "books". Though she does not have professional writing experience, Katie has a deep love for storytelling. She sees this writing competition as a valuable and exciting opportunity to develop and improve her skills - not only as an aspiring writer but also in the English language; her first language is German.
