Almacabra

Why do we say text and image, as something separate, as if they were two different things? Because they are. But are they? Because a text is also an image, it is also something visual and an image can also narrate, even as well or better than a text. Or don't we see when we read and don't we read when we see? For example, when we are reading a story, at first we see the letters as letters, then they become an abstraction, we no longer see the letters as letters but as we read they become an image in our mind, we are seeing a text and we are reading an image. The visual and the textual intertwine, overlap and blend, they become one.
