Alternative feed for Japanese quails in the Amazon region

Quail farming is a poultry activity that is growing in Brazil as part of industrial poultry farming. The quail egg, as a product, is in high demand domestically, and traditional poultry farmers are finding a way to diversify their breeding and supply of eggs to the trade. In order to maintain and expand this activity, it is necessary to carry out scientific studies to better understand the biology of Japanese quails and thus improve the techniques used, whether in the field of genetics, nutrition, management or reproduction.
