Alternative Realities: A Metaphysical Conundrum

Over the last part of the 20th Century and the beginning of the 21st, alternative reality films have increases prodigiously. These films reflect tje growing collective fear that discerning true reality is impossible. These films like those of the fifties that reflected the fear of Communists and the nuclear bomb are used to assuage our anxiety as the world beocmes less contrete and much more techo- computer conscious. By examinating these films and their theorical foundations we become informed of the how and why of these influences on our thinking and behavior. In the growing world of filma and media studies this book will be of interest in the study of the historical-social impact of film.
