Amazonia, UNASUR and Sustainable Development
Details
At a time of political change in South America, Brazil is taking the lead in the search for a new economic bloc model that will give the region greater global visibility while generating financial returns for its member countries. UNASUR would be a model of great ambition and a unique vision of union, not only political but also social, for all countries. Within this discussion, the Amazon appears as a prominent factor, whether due to the subcontinent's connectivity problems or the quest for its preservation, as well as its unique natural resources, hindering a traditional model of integration and bringing new debates on the sustainable use of natural resources for all of South America. In any case, the debate is as vast as the rainforest itself.
