America after America

Beginning as a book of travel notes, it actually is one of essays. The second trip in the U.S.A. offered to the author the opportunity of interesting remarks, but especially personal considerations regarding people, religions, politics, history and many others. Far to be a simple stringing of sites or trifling happenings, the author s notes are in fact a delectable and lively analyse, sometimes playful, but always piercing of the American way of life, in a permanent comparison with the Romanian one. Cristache Gheorghiu is born in Brasov, Romania, in 1937. He worked as an engineer, having a master degree in Computing Science. In time, he has become a renowned painter and writer, with already ten books, in Romanian and English language. Also, he is active in some Romanian literary reviews. Now, he lives in Athens, Greece.
