An 'ABCD...' for an Assertive African
Details
The 21st Century is the 'Greatest Time' for us Africans as we assert our Godly right to dignity and honour. Towards this divine end, we have nothing to loose but our chains and manacles. But it is conditional that we amass those ego and psychic strengths vital in enabling us to recognize our peculiar historical situation and its psychological implications. To overcome the gnawing sense of 'inner vacuum' and the shrinking of our horizons, we have to 'self-ignite' our psyches to down play all failures and ignore all limitations, to make ourselves demand and expect more and more from the inexhaustible coffer of nature. We have to 'self-flood' our minds with flagrance and flavour upon the glowingly bright image of our fertile future, empowering our minds with visions that will outlive us, unloading our minds all the burdens of status quo, of being fixated and stuck with the obsolete ideas, structures and habits, so that we may awaken that alertness to the emerging changes in the modern world in order to discover where real opportunities lie.
