An Antarctic Mystery

The wealthy Joerling travels on Len Guy's ship. On their way there, they find the body of a sailor on a drifting iceberg, together with notes pointing to survivors in the Antarctic.

The book can be understood as a "continuation" of Edgar Allan Poe's novel "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket" and takes place one year after its publication respectively eleven years after the catastrophe in Antarctica. The wealthy American Joerling travels on Captain Len Guy's ship towards Tristan da Cunha. On their way there, they find the body of a sailor on a drifting iceberg, together with notes pointing to survivors in the Antarctic. They set out on an adventurous and dangerous quest, as one of the survivors is Len Guy's brother...
