An Assessment of the Contributions of CBOs on Sustainable Development

This work on Assessment of the Contributions of Community Based Organizations (CBO's) on Sustainable Urban Development in Enugu Metropolis is a compendium of the relevant roles played by the community-based organization in the study area. The work further highlights how the community-based organizations contribute to sustainable urban development in the study area with full recognition of the provision of Agenda 21, particularly as it relates to the importance of public participation in the quest for sustainable urban development.

Kanu, Ejikeme Johnson is Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. He holds B. URP and M. URP in Urban and Regional Planning. His research interests include social service planning, public participation in planning, rural planning, land use planning and environmental management.
