This study aims at reading of Ernest Hemingway's selected short stories and show light on various eco-critical aspects of the stories. For the purpose, short stories like "The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber", "A Way You Will Never Be", The End of Something" and "Up in the Michigan" are selected. Ernest Hemingway belongs to the generation which strongly believed in "winning" of the nature. As a well read writer his works are analyzed to understand his attitude towards nature and how his works shaped conscience of the generation.
