AN ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF MIGRANT WORKERS

Migration plays an important role in determining the distribution of population and supply of labour in the country. The study of migration is additionally useful for formulating economic and other policies by the government, Economists, Sociologists, Politicians and planners alongside demographers. During Covid-19 migrant workers are facing many problems particularly death fear was ranked as the foremost one followed by loneliness, Mental illness, Health problems, Very low wage, Tension and Food insecurity. The book throws some light on the socio-economic condition of the migrant's workers engaged in the hotel industry.

La autora trabaja actualmente como profesora en el Departamento de Economía, MTN College, Madurai. Obtuvo un doctorado en Economía de la Universidad de Madurai Kamaraj en el año 2016. Está cualificada para el TN-SET y tiene 7 años de servicio a nivel universitario. Ha publicado algunos artículos en revistas de renombre.
