An Examination of Public Financial Management Reforms in Ghana

Providing an insight into Ghana's public financial management processes over the years, this book gives account of the legal and institutional arrangements that have been put in place to ensure sound public financial management to result in improved service delivery, accountability and value for money. The enactments that have been made in attempt to strengthen public expenditure management in order to assure international financial institutions and other donors on how their resources would be secured in Ghana, the gateway to the West African sub-region are examined. Recommendations are made on how the legal and institutional frameworks can be improved to deliver intended results in the country's quest to achieve improved economic growth and development.
