An Experimental Hot Corrosion Study of HVOF Sprayed NiCr50Al and WC-1

This is an experimental study conducted on bare and coated T91 boiler tube steel in the salty environment. The comparative resistance of coating with bare steel had been analyzed after identification of crucial hot corrosion problem from past literature reviews. Two coatings NiCr50Al and WC-17Co had been deposited on steel samples by HVOF thermal spray. The outcomes of study showed that coated surfaces showed greater resistance to the hot corrosion.

Gurmail Singh Malhi received Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IKG PTU. He has total 13 years of experience of teaching in two universities. Now ,he is working as assistant professor in department of aerospace at Chandigarh University. Dr. Malhi has published 20 papers in referred international journals.
