It gives me immense pleasure to bring out the first edition of the book "An Introduction to Ferroics and Multiferroic Materials". This book is useful for the students in Colleges and Universities and will be more useful for research scholars working on multiferroic materials. This book has been written simply so that every student can understand the basic ideas of ferroics and multiferroics.In the present era, multiferroic composites are the key topics to be studied due to their high magnetoelectric coupling coefficients. This book discusses the phenomenon of magnetoelectric effect in multiferroic composites and the various types of functional composites in detail. The key issue of multiferroic materials, the scope of these materials in the present-day technological world, and the questions to be answered in the future are discussed.

M D Rather est titulaire d'une maîtrise en sciences, d'une maîtrise en philosophie et d'un doctorat de l'Université du Cachemire. Il a plus de 5 ans d'expérience dans l'enseignement au niveau collégial et universitaire. Il travaille actuellement en tant que chercheur postdoctoral du Dr. D S Kothari à l'Université musulmane d'Aligarh.Altaf est actuellement professeur assistant à l'université centrale du Cachemire.
