It identifies the forces that are shaping international monetary arrangements and driving financial markets in an increasingly liberalized environment. The book pays particular attention to the implications for developing countries and how they are affected by the 'internationalization' of the world economy and the emerging trends in developmental assistance. It is written in an easy flowing style with little use of diagrams and mathematics.
